Olympia has the Sound, Lacey has Ranier. There is a great view of Ranier from my workplace looking southeast, and since I work nights, I've been getting some nice shots of Ranier tickled by "rosy-fingered Dawn." This is one of my favorites.

Early Morning in Lacey, WA
Greeners and Scenesters in Olympia like to talk smack about Lacey. It's basically a suburban bedroom community like any other, complete with Costcos, HomeDepots, etc, etc. Sure a lot of it is ugly "Shakedown Street" sprawl. But well, it's catch as catch can when it comes to beauty.
