Investment adviser banks on his Segway, but law could put brakes on his commute

Investment adviser banks on his Segway, but law could put brakes on his commute

Many American states have established rules allowing for Segways, but there's a legislative vacuum in Canada. In Alberta, they've been ridiculously lumped in with such things as gas-powered "pocket" motorcycles and motorized golf carts, in a category called Prohibited Miniature Vehicles.
So technically, the Segway is illegal in this province, except on private property. If you're into conspiracies, you might see this as further evidence of the evil influence of oil companies and auto manufacturers. But more likely, Segways simply baffle law makers.
