The quest for the perfect electric motorcycle continues, and the Enertia is an interesting new contestant. Nice styling, (it's not a scooter, but hey, wachagonnado?) and a fairly resonable price point, as far as these things go. It has a range of 45 miles, a top speed of 50mph, and can be fully recharged in 3 hours. A version with a carbon fiber frame will be available the first quarter of 2008 for about $15k. A standard version (steel chasis? how will this effect weight/range/topspeed?) will be available third quarter of 2008 for about $12k.
The title link will take to the manufacturer's site.
A story from Kneeslider is also out there.
